The Yin-Yang symbol arises from an ancient Chinese philosophy that provides the concept of opposite, but equal, interrelated forces. The feminine Yin and the masculine Yang must achieve equal shares of the whole to achieve balance and harmony.
The swirling teardrops representing Yin and Yang are rendered here in copper and sterling silver with a sterling bail. Within each teardrop is a dot (handmade rivet) of the opposite metal, representing that a bit of each energy always resides within the other. The pendant measures 1 5/8″ drop x 1″ wide.
